WORKSHOPS

I will be running a series of half day, seasonal workshops this year.

All of them will take place at Bridge House, West Meon GU32 1JG and include homemade cakes and biscuits, tea and coffee and everything you need to make your own take home arrangement.

Courses start at 10.00am and finish at 12.30pm

Hand tied Workshop

Wednesday 16th and Saturday 19th September from 10.00am

Price: £55.00 per person

Celebrating the wonderful flowers available at this time of year this workshop aims to explore ways to cut and condition homegrown flowers and foliage, with some advice on popular flowers to grow in your own cutting garden.

The focus of this workshop however will be a demonstration on how to make a hand tied bouquet. After which you will get a chance to make your own beautiful bunch to take home using solely British grown flowers.

With tips on wrapping and presentation and a wide selection of beautiful ribbons to finish off your creation this aims to be a wonderful morning full of scent and colour.

Sustainable Floristry

Tuesday 8th and Wednesday 9th September 10.00am until 12.30pm

Price per person £55.00

In this day and age we are trying to help reduce waste and become more environmentally aware. The flower industry is making big changes in the way we arrange flowers. Using chicken wire, pin holders and tape to replace floral foam and plastic. On the course I will demonstrate several ways to create beautiful, natural based arrangements suitable to decorate a table or hallway using seasonal flowers and foliage.

After which you will be given the opportunity to make your own, take home table arrangement from a selection of containers and flowers available.

Autumn Wreath

Saturday 26th and Wednesday 30th September 10.00am to 12.30pm

Price per person £55.00

Using a wire based frame and moss we will all create a beautiful autumnal wreath using lots of season foliage, berries, crab apples, feathers, twisted hazel and mini pumpkins to celebrate this abundant time of year and take us towards Harvest festival and Halloween celebrations. I will be on hand to give as much or as little help and guidance as you need.

This is a wonderful skill to learn that can be adapted for Christmas, spring and Easter wreaths too.
